    Same Ol Same Ole

Typical run of the mill scale book. It certainly isn't the be all end all book the writer of the Ad would have you belive. This is pretty much the Slick Advertising Hype with very little to offer. Way overpriced for what it is. There's lots more books by Authors such as Troy Stetina that actually teach you how to practice.

    Decent Enough

Went through the scales. Pretty through. Could have used a few more graphics, but ok. Overall, not too shabby.

    Good for what it is..

This is a scale book. You have to think of this as more of a reference than a lesson book. The book does approach these in a lesson format but it's a lot of, play this, play this, play this. There is a TON of information in here but you don't want to buy this book to learn the basics and mechanics of how to play guitar. If you've been playing and you need a good scale reference this is a pretty thorough book.

Want to play but don't know how?

If you have always wanted to play the guitar but you don't know how it's easy just get this book! It has taught me more in a few weeks than five years of lessons ever did! This book is a must have for guitar players even if you can't read music it tells you how.
