Editorial Reviews

Diane Donovan
GULAG MOON is the prequel to the Chronos Military Science Fiction series, set in the year 2113, and is a 'must' introduction for any reader of the Chronos series. This isn't to say that prior fans won't find it immensely satisfying to 'go back in time': just that newcomers to the series will find GULAG MOON neatly sets the place and tone for the following sagas. The action is fast-paced and the main protagonists edgy and well-developed. GULAG MOON, promises further satisfying adventures...

    Very good

1st book. A lot of action. I'm a vietnam vet and the battle scenes at good. To freeze the 1st in combat is common. The weapons sound like the writer did his research. I got the whole series but have only read the 1st book

    Underground militia gets started.

Lots of action! A group decide to fight back on a prison planet that is run by the Syndicate, an army funded by mining corperations; you need slaves to work.

Uses 20 century weapons to fight lasers, robots and other newer technology. Great read.

    Lots of action. Interesting characters.

This book has almost nonstop action. The characters are interesting and I found myself riveted to the the entire story. The author is not overly preoccupied with high tech weaponry, but when it is used, the realities of needing large power supplies, or being susceptible to damage by electro magnetic pulses are addressed. As a result, not everyone has a laser or a photon gun. But, the author still finds plenty of opportunity to fight swarms of robots or demonstrate his vision of a battlefield where lasers are used.
