The Gypsies, is a captivating book. Jan Yoors thrusts you into his boyhood life as he grows up with the gypsies. he talks about how once he is accepted the gypsies encourage him to do what he needs to do no matter how difficult the task is. however his parents are not like most parents, they also let him choose which is best for him. Yoors also gives faces to some of the people he talks about in pictures throughout his book. i can promise you will not beable to put this book down once you start reading.

I came across this book about 5 years ago, I have read it more times than i can possibly count. It is an amazing story of love, friendship, and acceptance. It chronicles a portion of his life growing up among the Romany tribes.
