Hôtel Costes, Vol. 3: Etage 3 based on 0 ratings. 3 reviews.
Hotel Costes Etage 3 is the first enstallment of the eclectic Hotel Costes euro-compilations to reach the states. Produced by the french mixologist Stephane Pompougnac for the title hotel's sountrack this disc offers a transcontinetal musical journey to the listener. It opens with the very euro-pop "Ambrosia" then switches to the brassy vocals of Dame Shirley Bassey (who has rarely sounded so vibrant). The collection mixes beautifully accented voices with heavy electronic beats and world class orchestral pieces to produce a unique yet seemless sound. From "Cleopatra in New York" to "Last Tango on Paris" this is truly the mix for people on a European getaway or those who can only dream about it. The only down side is like all vacations it reaches the end so soon.
Of all the Hotel Costes albums, Etage 3 by far, is the best. I simply love Cleopatra in NY!
This music is wonderful, with european style and a hint of French beats and soulful singing. This is one of many Hotel Costes Cd's, and I recommend getting all of them. It is a nice breakaway from traditional generic music that we all hear, and a great gift for yourself or anyone else. You will LOVE it.
