Anna Jansson nació en 1958 en la ciudad sueca de Visby, aunque pronto se trasladó a la isla de Gotland, escenario de la mayoría de sus novelas. Actualmente combina su carrera profesional como enfermera con su pasión por la escritura. Cuenta con más de una quincena de libros publicados y sus ventas superan el millón y medio de ejemplares. En el año 2000 inició la serie protagonizada por la investigadora Maria Wern. Sus novelas siempre se hallan entre las candidatas a «mejor libro del año» en su país natal, donde ha recibido varios premios y menciones. Algunos de sus libros, además, se han convertido en exitosas series televisivas. Sus novelas se han traducido en muchos países como Dinamarca, Finlandia, Francia, Alemania, Holanda, Noruega y Polonia entre otros. Hasta la fecha ha publicado dos novelas en nuestro país: Hablaré cuando esté muerto Atrapado en un sueño.

Anna Jansson was born in 1958 in Visby, Sweden, and as a child her family moved to the island of Gotland, where most of her novels take place.  She combines her experiences as a nurse with a passion for writing, and has written over fifteen novels that have sold over a million and a half copies. In 2000, she began a series featuring Investigator Maria Wren. Jansson’s novels have won many awards in her home country and have been converted to sucessful televisión series.  Her novels have been translated all over the world.
