Editorial Reviews

The Barnes & Noble Review
As amazing as BlackBerry is, there's even more power hidden underneath the surface. For that, you need to do a little hacking. Top wireless software developer Glenn Bachmann has lit out ahead of you. And, in Hacking Blueberry, he's thoroughly mapped the territory.

Much of Hacking BlackBerry is accessible to anyone, technical or otherwise. For example: keyboard shortcuts that make web browsing a little quicker, and "assisted search" tools that make web search a little more practical. Or performing "safe resets" without removing the battery.

But there's also some serious technical spelunking in here. For example, Bachmann reveals hidden codes and keys that display screens and settings you never knew ere there. He even shows how to use BlackBerry's programming API to control vibrate mode -- perhaps, to turn your Blackberry into your own personal vibrating massager. No lie.
