This was a good short (52 pages) read. I wish it was longer!

Cute, sweet and a short read by Susan Mallery. This novella is the set up for a new series but stands alone on its own. A brief visit with characters from her prior novels but its well written and not obtrusive. I enjoyed this story because it has the potential to be expanded but you don't miss anything in its 50 pages. An sweet short read that pays attention to character individual needs.

I'll admit it is hard to get excited about a book that is less than 50 pages long... But, this is Fool's Gold and this is Susan Mallery and everything she writes is 5 stars in my opinion.... Very cute characters and a very cute, fast read... If you are into this series you will love it!!!

I love going back to Fool's Gold!! It is like going home again! Seeing old friends, meeting new ones. I was laughing, crying as always with Susan Mallery's books. I loved the beginning with the cat giving birth. It was unexpected, but a joy to have in the book! I am looking forward to the next 3 Fool's Gold books coming out this summer, which are Just One Kiss, Two of a Kind, and Three Little Words.

I'm glad this only cost me a couple of bucks - the book is only 52 pages long , 12 of which are taken up by cover, title page, index etc. As one can imagine in only 40 pages there isn't much of a story line let alone character development. Really disappointing.

I liked the book, the story line and the characters but it was only 52 pages!

I look forward to every one of Susan Mallery's books. This was a big disappointment. There's just not enough time to make you love the characters in 50 pages. I was really disappointed in this one. Sorry, Susan.

I'm not a find of this book, also it was very short. This is B & N failure to give number of pages in their details of the books. A NOvella or a short story is not a novel or a book in the true sense of the word so B & N must do better about accurate labels and truthfulness in advertising.

LESS THAN 52 PAGES - REALLY?

To be honest I would not recommend that you buy this book. I thought it was to short and I finished it and was sitting there wondering where is my normal good storyline of Susan Mallery. Normally I just can't put a Fool's Gold book down. I will admit that what was there I did read but I kept wanting more of a storyline. More character description and just all around more book. I was a very disappointed reader at the end of this book. I thought it ended abruptly with no development of characters. I have read the other short novellas in the Fool's Gold series and this is the only one that really disappointed me. This one was a ebook only.

Where is the rest of the book!

This could be a great book, even a great novella but at 56 pages, its too short and you never feel attached to the characters.

What a great way to start off a new season of Fool's Gold novels! Even though it's a novella, you can still feel the chemistry between Ryan and Fayrene. I hope they show up in future books. Also, we got another glimpse of the mysterious Gideon. Can't wait to finally get his story! This is a great, quick read for both Fool's Gold veterans and newbies looking for a taste of how great these books are!

It's a return to Fool's Gold. This novella was just what I would expect from Susan Mallery and Fool's Gold. The story was great, the characters very likable; it was a very quick read. I read it on my lunch hour and it had me smiling and chuckling. My only complaint is that it I wanted it to be longer. :) Can't wait for more of the series this summer!

Susan Mallery packs a lot of heart and humor into a novella. Loved watching Fayrene fall in love, despite her best intentions. She has a plan for her life - and love isn't a part of it yet. But how can she resist an adorable engineer who thinks she's the best thing ever? Loved this story!

Susan Mallery has done it again. This is an amazing story. The characters jump off the page as Susan brings them to life. What's a woman to do when she wants security and a successful business of her own? She makes a plan and decides love will just have to wait (for 4 years). But when one special man walks into her life and causes that tingle that won't go away, she decides that maybe just a short fling would be okay. He would be leaving town soon anyway...right? A story that leaves you feeling good and believing in Happy Endings. I can't wait to revisit these characters in future Fool's Gold books. The next 3 Fool's Gold books: Just One Kiss, Two of a Kind, and Three Little Words are on my mist read list.
