This story was cute, funny and sexy. Cal Bolton of the San Francisco werewolf pack has wanted sex witch, Victoria McCallister for quite some time, but she’s always shot down his advances in favor of teasing and flirting with him. This Halloween, he’s determined to get past her barriers, both magical and physical. Even though it’s a short story, their chemistry was absolutely believable. I think Victoria enjoyed the chase and having Cal finally put an end to their sexual tension. I loved the funny visuals of Cal’s wolf versus Victoria’s cat.

Story #2 – Mate Event by Milly Taiden

Aliya Grey is a half-breed (half human and half wolf), but she can’t shift. During a Mate Event, her best friend goes missing. While Aliya tries to find her, she bumps into Marcus Nero, her BFF’s step brother. She’s had a crush on Marcus for a long time, and at the moment he seems to be more than interested in her. Marcus is the future alpha, and as such his mate has to be mated to a full-blooded. Despite knowing that they don’t have a future, she gives herself to him for one night. But maybe there’s such a thing as a Halloween miracle.

I’m not surprised that I found this story incredibly hot. After all, it was written by one of my favorite erotic romance authors.

Story #3 – Tied by Lillian Diamante

The story of Nicco and Sana, a fae and a vampire. She’s frigid and commanding but submits to Nicco in the bedroom every time. Even though the mating between those two species is punishable by death, they can’t stay away from one another.

Not much of a plot here, but their passionate night sizzled.

Story #4 – Night of Seduction by C. P. Foster

Olivia’s friend buys a mansion that she believes is haunted. Olivia is supposed to investigate and get rid of the ghost, if there is one. While perfuming the Dumb Supper ritual, a ghost does indeed appear. She can’t see him. Olivia is instantly seduced by the ghost’s touch and dirty words.

I love tales with ghosts being able to engage in seduction and sexual intercourse. This was a steamy story, but I did wonder about one thing. The ghost asks her to return, same time, same place, the following year. If it’s her friend’s house, I wonder how she’ll pull that of.

Story #5 – Serena by Antonia van Zandt

Once a year, Marianne eagerly anticipates her reunion with Serena.

There’s not much I can say about this. It starts with sex, and ends with sex. I read this without knowing what I was in for. The book cover says M/F on it, but this story was F/F, which doesn’t do anything for me at all.

Overall, this was a fun anthology to read, and to discover some new authors.
