Liked the short story, but did not like the ending which left everything hanging and unanswered almost like there should be a second part. The story starts and ends at the same point with flashback showing how the teller got to that point. Not sure if I would recommend it or not. I love Lackey's other stories though.

I don't know who put up the title, but it's the short story based off the song 'Lammas Night'. If you don't believe me, go to firebird art and music and check the album Magic, Moondust and Melancholy. The song and short story are great.

Some sort of popularize the solstice drek of Halloween or Samhain or what. Well I always like Lackey even in short. For a more heavy duty Lammas Eve try the Katherine Kurz book.
