Reviewed by Michelle V. Book provided by the publisher for review Review originally posted at Romancing the Book Hammered by Desiree Holt is another hot and steamy erotic romance in her Erector Set series. Alex McMann has been given a chance to get a contract for McMann Brothers that has the potential to take their company to a whole new level. First, Alex is going to have to get past the team that Concordia has put in charge of the project, and one member of that team could threaten it all. Olivia (Livy) D’Angelo is all business and all woman all at the same time. There is instant and powerful chemistry between Livy and Alex, but do they dare act on it and risk their careers and their hearts? I loved the first book in this series, Erected, so much that I was sure it would be my favorite of the series. I have to admit that I think I may have enjoyed this one even more. Once again the author gives us characters that are easy to relate to. I liked them immediately (even when they weren’t always acting very likable), and I was rooting hard for these two characters. This is book two in this series, and you could certainly read this one if you haven’t read the first book, but I believe you will have a better appreciation for some of the characters, in particular the McMann brothers, if you read this series in order. Each of the first two books is just over 100 pages which makes them a great length and definitely worth reading them both together. Hammered is filled with plenty of drama, a touch of suspense, steamy passion, and tender romance. The first two books have given us the stories of two of the three McMann brothers and I am looking forward to Tyler’s story.
