Editorial Reviews

Mark H. Gonzalez
This is an overview of hand surgery that is written in a question and answer format. The purpose is to provide an overview of hand surgery for the medical student and house officer. The book is written for medical students and house officers. It is also appropriate for junior residents. The authors are from a broad cross-section, and include junior attendings and senior professors. The illustrations are adequate. The references are basic. This is a very basic text written for the medical student and house officer. It is easy to read, but the depth and quality of the questions varies from chapter to chapter. Some minor conditions are covered in detail, while in some cases important conditions are not given enough explanation. The book is not comprehensive, but covers most major points.
