Michael Perry has written a very good guide to freelance writing. He covers all the basics (how to get ideas, manuscript format, dealing with editors), but he also answers many questions that aren't answered in all the others freelance writing books (and I've read most of them). As a freelance writer myself, I really identify with what Perry has gone through and how he approaches markets and editors. After reading his book, he seems so much like myself and other freelancers I know that I instantly trust his advic
