And here is factual, up-to-the-minute information on fiscal planning for the grandfather who wants to help his grandchildren through college, plus clever ways to ensure their financial future.

My daughter-in-law gave me a copy of this book for my birthday. Now that I'm retired I have plenty of time to spend with my grandchildren while they're still young--kids grow up so fast! This book made me relize the best way to get close to my grandkids it to take them places. It suggested a slew of interesting places and wonderfull things my grandkids and I can do together--with all the costs, the 800 numbers and the folks to call to find out more or make reservations when we need them. For example, the kids and I have decided to go on a whale watching expedition this summer. We're going to climb a mountian(a small one). and when they're a little older, we're going to visit Washington D.C together. This book reminded me that I have certain usefull skills I can pass on to my grandchildren, some of which my grandfather taught me. If things work out, my grandson will be helping me build a boy's clubhouse this summer, or even a tree house. Right now I'm starting on a doll house for my youngest granddaughter. This book told me where I can get everything I need for these projects. This book covers alot of ground. Solid, practical stuff i can use. But the best thing about it, is it's way of helping me through the ideas and advice i can want to impart to my grandchildren to help them get a good start in life. I guess you could say Conrad Brown's 'Handbook For Grandfather's' lit a file under me!!
