    Very Deep Book

I bought this book months ago, but never took time to read it. But once I opened it, I could not put it down. This gave me deep insight about demons and spiritual warfare. My eyes have been open to new truths. Also referred this book to a friend...she purchased it and cannot put it down. Sorry that the "new ager" was upset, but then again, the TRUTH does sting.

A well-grounded treatment of spiritual warfare

This book treats the topic of spiritual warfare from the perspective of Biblical Christianity. As such, those with greatly divergent worldviews will find it a very challenging read. Nonetheless, this work manages to treat a topic known for sensationalism in a solid and grounded way. . Anyone interested in learning more about the reality of the demon world and its interaction with humanity as a whole and the life of the individual Christian would do well to purchase and read this book. It is a rare find - both intersting and knowledgable.

    A real shocker

As a person who inclines towards New Age perspectives I was really appalled by this writer's take on mystical and transcendental experience. Murphy sees the New Age as the enemy of the Christian Church and condemns it in a way which promotes hostility and fear. It doesn't have to be this way. Authentic New Agers are looking for the universals which underpin mystical awareness and they are trying to avoid gatting trapped in bigoted and narrow belief systems. It truly worries me that Dr Murphy thinks the New Age is his enemy. Maybe the Devil is lurking within his own ranks and feeding on his paranoia.

    Excellent Handbook

I've enjoyed using this book while teaching a small group. It has practical experience and frequent biblical references. Great reference book as well.
