    HIGHLE RECOMMENDED ESPECIALLY FOR HISPANIC BUS'S

    I bought this book and found that using the downloadable forms, sample cases, and forms, my bid/win ratio went up 22%. This book is excellent for the Hispanic business market since it shows how the other businesses do business in proposal writing. It also gives you a fast update on basic marketing so you can not go wrong with this book for your employees or as a reference book. The book is written to the point, no flufy stuff to take up pages. Written to the correct level of reader -- fast but to the point. I do not understand why McGraw Hill has not translated this book into Spanish for our community of leaders in small to large businesses??? I have heard that the AMA has spoken about it -- so why not translate it???? For the price, get it - you will not go wrong

    HIGHLY RECOMMEND -- YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR WORK BOOK LIBRARY

    I OWN A COPY OF THIS BOOK, AND WORK FOR A MID SIZE COMPANY. WITH THE AID OF THE CONTENTS, FORMS, SAMPLE CASES,AND EXCELLENT WRITING STYLE, OUR FIRM HAS INCREASED ACCEPTANCE RATES OF APPORX. 30-35%. IT IS NOW REQUIRED READING FOR MY STAFF AND MOST HAVE A COPY AT WORK AND AT HOME. THE WRITERS ARE TO THE POINT WITH NO FLUFF. HECK, THE DOWNLODABLE FORMS ARE WORTH THE COST OF THE BOOK AS OTHER REVIEWERS HAVE SAID PRIOR AND I FIRMLY AGREE. FOR THE PRICE, YOU CAN'T MISS ON THIS BOOK.

    HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR ALL READERS IN THIS FIELD

    This book covers it all and with the downloads to get me started, excellent. For the price, you should have one and at the office. My fellow wrokers are buying the book since we all write proposals and this book just covers is all. If you are in this field, such as, consulting, a corporation, or private business just bidding on a project, you need this one. Good luck to all.

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - IF YOU ARE IN THIS BUSINESS -- THIS IS FOR YOU

    I read the reviews of others about this book and finally bought a copy. I did find out that at an AMA meating, this book was backed and used in a talk about how to hit your target markets useing the marketing concept. The book covers all of points the reader will need to make that wining proposal. The grammer/flow/writing are excellent. The downloadable forms are a saver since we can get going right off the bat. Fix them in final form later --but writing the first draft of anything is a dog with major fleas and this book makes the fleas go away.

    The content I have found is very much above other books i.e., they take complex diagrahams and concepts and write them to the reading audience level so they understand them first time around. I am suggesting that this book is used in all relevent areas of our corporation. I do hope they get their web site up soon so I can find out what they are working on next in this field and for their next book on strat planning (I heard it is in production). I also hope that their publisher translates this into Chinse and Spanish again so our staff in those areas can utilize all of the book. especially the appendices and the downloadable forms.

    This book is a no-brainer -- buy it and be happy-- educated/free forms/etc. All of these comments are just mine, but I do hold the top degree. Good luck to all proposal writers.

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED -- BEST NEW ONE OUT SO FAR

    I purchased this book after reading reviews here and elsewere that the American Marketing Assoc. gave it a strong backing. Well, those reviews were correct. The book has no holes in it from the first ed., (which I checked out since most 2nd ed. seem to be the same as the first - at least 50% change including the downloadable forms -- a life saver in time for me and my staff), flow of reading and level of reading excellent. Charts/examples/cases all very top notch and relate to the material in the book - not like others that relate to something in some other chapter you have not read yet. This book is good for grants but it seems to be aimed at the business market. Consultants and sales people write grants each day to win a target client, but I have found no major book like this one, that covers both topics at such an appropriate level at one time. That is a very big market to fill and this book has all of the materials and supplements to do the job. If you read this book and can not write a very good business proposal, then you may be in the wrong field!!!! Since the current business environment is not so friendly to our business, I have given this book with my approval and comments to our VP to consider for reading by our sales force and any others in proposal writing areas to be suggested reading. When the bus. environment gets better, we want to be at the top of our game in this area and I believe this books is the tool. Good luck to all on their proposal writing.

    A MUST HAVE BOOK IF YOU DO THIS FOR A LIVING

    This is an excellent book for those who write business/grant proposals. The authors write straight to the point, difficult concepts explained very well, good use of English grammar, and written for all level of proposal writers. The downloadable forms are very good and saves myself and co-workers time. For a second edition I expected only minimal changes -- but I would estimate that over 45% of the book has been updated since the first edition -- and the first ed. was an excellent read. The book does integrate some major business concepts into the thinking of what the proposal should be targeted for to meet the needs of the customer -- something most proposal books do not contain. You can not go wrong with this book. I highly reccomend to all people in or around the proposal writing field.

    OUTSTANDING BOOK -- YOU REALLY NEED THIS

    The first edition was excellent, but the 2nd edition is outstanding. This book fills in all the prior gaps and is updated with all current material on the subject. This edition has downloadable forms that are excellent and saves me and my sales staff the time and salaries from generating our own from scratch. Written in very clear english and very easy to read. The authors have taken some very complex subjects and wrote them in a concise manner so every reader can understand. The e-book is great for the on the road person. This book is not just for grant writers, but business consultants and sales forces of any size corporation who have clients that require proposals --- and that trend seems to be increasing. Our firm is starting to make this required reading since the majority of business proposals are for selling your products to your target audiences. This book nails that concept right on the head. The book also shows you how your proposal should fit into your overall business plan - a feature I have yet to find in other books. I have not found a comprehensive book that covers both grant and business proposal writting with the material to teach/enhance/show the reader how -- as this book does. Nothing of great significance has been left out. The American Marketing Associations gave it a very solid backing at one of their meetings and reiterated that proposals are not only for grants, but for businesses now since many clients require in-depth proposals for you to be in the running. And, with the way the economy is going these days, you need to be at the top of your game and this book gives you the tools to get there. The first edition was translated into Chinese and I am hoping this one will also so my over-seas sales force can utilize its content. The book has exceeded my expections as a second edition and you will not be dissapointed. Always buy the best and this is one of them.
