    Excellence incarnate!

This handbook is without question the strongest of its kind on the market today. It's approachable yet scholarly format makes it useful to every student of the English language, from freshman English majors through graduate students. This will indubitably be a boost to anyone's library.

    Very Helpful Resource

I got this book because it's a required reading for one of my classes, but I've found that it's actually a great resource for anything you could need to know about literature. It serves as kind of an encyclopedia of literature terms and it offers about the same amount of information on each term as an encyclopedia does--that is to say, enough for general information, but not enough for great detail. Still, I've found it useful and will probably continue to use it once I've finished the class I purchased it for.
