Overview

Angela Patterson is a mother of three boys, ages 28, 24, and ... six. She's a late-life mother, with two adult sons and one youngster in the process of becoming a man. With her wide breadth of experience, Patterson has been through everything with her children: school, girls, jobs, and many dirty diapers. Through it all, she guided her boys with the guidance of Christ.

Life has been healthy with the Lord, but it has also been filled with inconceivably hilarious antics, as recorded in her collection of essays, A Handful of Laffodils, featuring anecdotes from her youngest son, Michael. There was the time Michael thought the voice of Dave Ramsey was actually the voice of God. Or the time when Michael was sick and thought he might be losing some of his brain through his nose!

A Handful of Laffodils is an uplifting, entertaining jaunt down the path of maternity-told as only a mother could. Patterson spins a tale of hilarity and memories that will make you laugh, cry, and wonder why you didn't have children sooner. Laughter is the best medicine, and this is true in all of life, but especially when raising curious Christian kids.

Witty, funny and brilliantly written! The author really gives insight to what it is like to be the mother of a rambunctious toddler!

I thought this was a wonderful gift book...bought it for a friend who was in the hospital and needed a little cheering up. It's a keepsake book, journal pages in the back to put your own thoughts in.
