Kelly Lee-Creel is a former video game producer who has always loved fabrics, crafts, and decorating. She is now a fabric designer with Andover Fabrics and lives in Washington. Rebecca Söder started a custom cake business after making Kelly’s wedding cake. She’s a full-time mom and crafts up all sorts of fun projects with her family at home in California.

Most of the decor projects require basic machine-sewing skills; though there are a few that use hand embroidery, paper crafting, or crafting with natural materials such as branches or flowers. The recipes are standard party fare, tailored to the theme of each event. VERDICT: Some of these projects are more successful than others, and it's difficult to imagine putting this much time and effort into handmade party accessories for a child's party or an outdoor picnic, but creative entertainers will find a wealth of ideas and inspiration in this collection.
