Meet the Author

Robert Daley is the author of twenty-nine books, among them Prince of the City. After graduating from Fordham University in 1951 and serving in the U.S. Air Force in Korea, Daley worked as publicity director for the New York Giants for six seasons, an experience he used to write his novel Only a Game. Next, he spent six years as a foreign correspondent for The New York Times in France. After returning to New York, he accepted an appointment as New York Deputy Police Commissioner for two years and wrote the book Target Blue about his experiences. He and his French-born wife have three daughters and divide their time between suburban New York and Nice, France.
