A MUST read!

Andrieh Vitimus' new book- 'Hands On Chaos Magic' is a magical training workbook that makes the techniques understandable and accessible for everyone. Andrieh explains the concepts in a way that is clearly understood, easy to apply, and comes across with a genuine tone and great sense of humour. He doesn't show the common dry "high magical speak" common of many books that deal with magical education. This book is very informative and FUN to work through- the exercises make ones magical practice something to look forward to! The techniques are not only useful in magical practice, but also in mundane life as well- exercises for controlling emotions, various techniques for changing personal patterns to create a better life, as well as the solid magical techniques for becoming a better magician.

I highly recommend this title to ALL audiences- from beginners to advanced practitioners alike- there truly IS something for everyone here. In B&N's rating system I chose "coffee table" and "bedside" as N/A because this is a book to be *read* and worked through- not one just to sit on a shelf or be "collected".

If you get a chance to work with Andrieh at one of his in-person appearances- definately do so! He is an experience not to be missed! The following websites are where to find him on the web!

www.andriehvitimus.com
www.prismaticvortex.com

    Practical Beyond Words

I've not yet finished Hands on Chaos Magic yet. But even halfway through the work, there is no question that this is a book that should be on the shelf of any practicing magician. I have read many times that most magicians do more studying and posturing than practicing. And I have been guilty of that myself, so I know its true. Well, if you're one of those, this book will get you up off your duff and practicing. The exercises, "games", and practical challenges in Hands on Chaos Magic are fantastic for the beginner to advanced practitioner. Everyone can learn something here. Andrieh Vitimus should absolutely be applauded for his work here -- this book is about DOING magic, a true rarity in the field. The approach here is also like no other magic work, with more emphasis on doing and exploring the use of personal energies and less on history, theory, ritual, etc. I am truly enjoying this book, and even before I have finished it, I am hoping that Andrieh writes another.
