The projects and exercises are not subject based but function based, with the text divided into sections titled "Understanding the Digital Image," "In-Camera Controls," and "Software Controls." Beginning photographers will be better served by Tom Ang's How To Photograph Absolutely Everything(reviewed on p. 90).
