Overview

An illustrated, step-by-step guide that makes it easy for anyone to awaken and develop one's own healing gift.
The moment we injure ourselves, we instinctively reach out to touch the area in pain. When someone's hurt is internal rather than external, we still use touch, caressing a brow or stroking a back to offer comfort. This form of hands-on healing has existed as long as mankind. In Hands-on Healing, Jack Angelo helps us to utilize this power of touch which we all possess. Hands-on Healing allows the reader to both understand the body's energies and to practice healing exercises. It explains the nature of disease and discusses the role of the mind and emotions in healing. Chapters focus on such topics as healing touch, chakras, the wisdom of the body, visualization, and meditation.

Illustrations and step-by-step instructions make it simple for anyone to awaken and develop their own healing gift - for self-healing or for healing others.

This comprehensive book also includes information on how to set up a healing practice, making it an essential reference text for healers.

One of Several Essential Training Books

Hands-On Healing is a good beginning book to start to develop your energy awareness - it has many exercises that I have found very useful for my husband (I see energy and he does not and we are trying to establish a common ground.) However, I have found that this book must be tempered with books like Energetic Anatomy (not to be confused with Energy Anatomy), which presents a much more complete picture of what the energy structures are, what they are like, and what they mean. For example, Angelo lists the eighth layer as the 'spiritual layer', showing his lack of awareness of the many layers beyond this layer that I know exist as I have seen them; Energetic Anatomy clearly refers to these other layers, and it is clear the author knows what he is talking about. There are many details like this which led me to get both books for my husband. In combination, they have given him a good basis for being able to understand what it is I see and begin to see it himself. So if you are trying to learn, or want to teach someone else, I recommend this book, but not as a stand-alone text.
