Overview

High-powered stock trader. Simple handyman. Can they find common ground?

Will Spencer is a player with a reputation for using and discarding lovers as easily as he earns big money on Wall Street. Handsome, sexy and openly gay, he’s used to having whatever—and whoever—he wants at the snap of his fingers.

And what he wants now is his new handyman, Jack Crawford. But Jack is skittish. One lingering touch, one stolen kiss could send the older man into full retreat. Where Will might have quickly moved on to a more ready-and-willing partner, he unexpectedly finds himself wanting to go slow. With just a little coaxing, he’s sure he can show Jack how good it could be between them.

Jack, a recent widower, never thought of himself as gay. Frightened years ago by an erotic encounter with his best friend, he focused firmly on his marriage. Now that his bed is empty, however, those deep sexual longings are rising dangerously close to the surface.

Their connection is deep, instant, and one that Jack tries to ignore. Yet friendship grows into an erotic journey that must cross a divide of different generations, backgrounds and worlds.

The prize is the one thing neither is sure he can handle—true love.

    Cute read

The story kinda bumbles along. I don't think the author did a good job of making believe that Will was a reformed manwhore. I also got turned off by Jack complaining about his wife all the time. He felt incredibly insensitive and mean when you read about him dissecting how unhappy he was during his marriage when his wife wouldn't have been there to defend herself. I think I would have rather him stopped at we were young and dumb and made it work. Or young Jack didn't know what he really wanted and now grown up Jack does. That said...they managed to work it out satisfactorily in the end.

    A sweet story

This was an enjoyable read but I would have liked to know how they were going to work out their relationship long term since their lifestyles are so different. The characters were interesting and fun.

    Great read

A very lovely and hot sexy about 2 perfectly imperfect MC's.

Jack is a widow who stayed with his wife for 24 years and I think the author did a great job showing their personal love and commitment but also the fact that they got married because she got pregnant and they "did the right thing," not necessarily because they were "in love." Typically when that happens there is fighting, cheating, angst, etc. but with Jack and his wife, they made a strong home for themselves and their kids - maybe not one based on true love but it showed a type of commitment we don't see much anymore.

Now Jack has the opportunity to find love and he finds Will - sexy, sexy Will!

Don't miss the short and free read on Claire Thompson's website about Jack and Will's Valentine's Day 8 months later!
