When I started reading this, I wasn't sure where it was headed, but the main character and her observations pulled me in. I liked the oddball students and professors that Hannelore has to deal with, and I liked following her adventures in dating. She's also not a cookie-cutter protagonist, so I liked that as well. There are some laugh-out-loud moments in this book and there are also more subtle scenes that reminded me of situations I've experienced in school or in life. I plan to recommend this to my friends and family members who like smart dialogue and interesting characters. Other books I've liked include Pride and Prejudice, I Capture the Castle, Bridget Jones's Diary, Rebecca, Lucky Jim, and Anne of Green Gables. Was this review helpful?
