Meet the Author

Bill Quain is the author of nineteen books on marketing, personal success, and free enterprise. He has sold more than two million copies, and his books are translated into twenty languages. Besides the United States, he has spoken in China, Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Europe, and the Caribbean. He graduated from Cornell University, Florida International University, and the University of New Orleans. Before entering academia, he owned and operated a hotel, was a food and beverage director, and an executive chef. For many years he has been a business consultant and analyst. He began to lose his eyesight to macular degeneration at the age of fourteen. Today, he is legally blind, but he does not let his condition slow him down. In 2001 he co-created and hosted a PBS television cooking show for the blind called Cooking Without Looking. In 2006, Oscar-winning actress Marlee Matlin asked him to appear on ABC's Extreme Makeover, Home Edition.
