    Courtesy of Romance Junkies:

What was Rhiannon O¿Brannoch thinking, leaving Ireland just because her Uncle Fitz sent her a letter and a one-way ticket to America? Rhiannon¿s introduction to the USA wasn¿t exactly gentle and welcoming. She nearly hit a steer while she was driving through the rugged Arizona desert, mired her rental car in the sand and was accused of being a rustler, all within the space of a few minutes! Redhawk Jackson is quickly convinced that Rhiannon isn¿t one of the rustlers, but he isn¿t exactly thrilled to discover she¿s Fitz¿s niece. Fitz promised that Irish Heaven would be Hawk¿s one day and Rhiannon¿s presence does not bode well for his future. Hawk has had far too many disappointments in life and he¿s not about to give up the ranch without a fight. But Fitz is rapidly losing his mental faculties, and Rhiannon is family. Will he even remember his promise? Hawk has the perfect solution. If he and Rhiannon marry, they can both inherit the ranch. After all, sparks fly whenever they're together. They can present a strong, united front against the rustlers and anyone else trying to take Irish Heaven, and work hard to restore the ranch to profitability. But to Rhiannon, Hawk is ignoring the most important consideration of all - love. Beautifully descriptive, HARD CASE COWBOY swept me right into the saga of Rhiannon and Hawk¿s tumultuous lives. I was saddened by Fitz¿s rapid decline, and felt righteous indignation over the audacity of the rustlers. How dare they ruin people¿s lives that way? What was their agenda? I wanted them caught! I hoped for a happy ending for Fitz. But most of all, I wanted Hawk and Rhiannon to admit their true feelings to themselves and to each other. I loved the surprises sprinkled throughout the story and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Irish Heaven. HARD CASE COWBOY is an excellent story in every way.

    EXHILARATING, ENTERTAINING, EXCELLENT!

Rhiannon O¿Brannoch has come to Arizona after receiving a letter from her Uncle Fitz, owner of the Irish Heaven ranch. Her luck so far has landed her car stuck in the sand after coming upon a near dead steer and being accused of rustling by the deliciously sexy Redhawk ¿Hawk¿ Jackson. Turns out that Hawk runs her uncle¿s ranch, and he¿s none to happy to see Rhiannon there. After all, he¿s been working there for years with the hopes of one day inheriting it. And, now a woman appears who seems to be putting his dreams in jeopardy. She¿s also putting Hawk¿s heart in jeopardy. Hawk and Rhiannon certainly hit it off physically, but emotionally, they are both scared of losing to each other. Both have known loss in the past, and they are putting a lot of stock into owning the ranch. An outside factor is also determined to ruin things for Irish Heaven. Someone is stealing cattle, and it seems that this ranch is the main target. Hawk is determined to find the thieves, but will it put his life in danger? Find out what happens when you get your copy of HARD CASE COWBOY. Will this passionate hero and heroine realize the love that lies in both their hearts? Ms. Bruhns¿s latest novel is exhilarating, entertaining and excellent! The opening pages immediately draw you deep into the story, and the fabulous characters and plot keep you quickly and eagerly flipping the pages. I loved the ending to HARD CASE COWBOY. It was so satisfying, and that is very important to me in the books I read. I need a romance that leaves me feeling fulfilled, and Nina Bruhns never fails to deliver. Another great aspect of this book is that there is so much to the story. Readers will find themselves immersed in not just a romance. There¿s also a bit of mystery and danger going on, and the Arizona setting is wonderfully described. So, if you¿ve never read a book by this author, you will definitely want to pick up HARD CASE COWBOY. Nina Bruhns is without doubt an auto-buy author for me!

    Great Read!

This book starts out with a bang! Rhiannon comes across a hurt cow and cutie Redhawk thinks she is the thief that has been stealing the cows from Irish Heaven. All she was trying to do was help the cow and get on her way to Irish Heaven to see her Uncle Fitz which Redhawk soon figures out and is none too happy about it. Because the one way ticket her uncle sent her was all the money they had. But they have a chemistry already within the first five minutes of meeting. He takes her to Irish Heaven and Rhiannon finds out her uncle has Alzheimers disease which breaks her heart. She knows he needs her to take care of him but she doesn¿t want to see another person she loves and cares about die on her. Redhawk is still annoyed but he wants her and to make matters worse Rhiannon wants him too even if he is a little moody because she is there and they have to decide who will inherit Irish Heaven. I LOVED this book. Very steamy and HOT. I was hooked from page one. Nina Bruhns has written a keeper! For those of you looking for an emotional and steamy read then this book is for you! Redhawk sounds HOT and Rhiannon sounds like a wonderful woman. I know I got all I ask for in a book and I know you will too! This is a keeper!
