An Excellent book Contemporary Romance Boston, Massachusetts Blake and Erica Landon have embarked on their honeymoon days after their wedding. It is a journey that strengthens their bond and a chance to make the scars from their past fade. Just as it seems all their troubles are behind them a scandal surrounding would-be governor Daniel Fitzgerald’s elections happens. Now their newfound peace is threatened. Blake is at the center of the controversy. The transgressions from his hacker past are now haunting him. It also brings back a past he has no wish to relive. Erica will let nothing stop her from clearing Blake’s name as his freedom is at stake and their future is now in peril. With Blake defying the authorities and refusing to find the truth Blake and Erica’s world starts to crumble. Now it is a question of whether Blake will let his past win or not. At the same time Erica is trying to convince Blake that their life together is worth fighting for. This is a very satisfying conclusion to a series that proves to be unforgettable. This book is just as good as the first four books in the series. It has all the twists and turns readers could hope for and with it being the end of the series it has an amazing ending that will stay with readers for a long time to come. It is also a book that readers will want to re-read over and over just for the ending alone. Watching as Erica and Blake get past each of their pasts and grow makes for a great read. This series will have readers wanting to read more by this author.

4.5 Stars “I’m going to make you fall in love with me all over again. Every morning and every night. In every city and at the edge of every ocean. I’ll remind you why you’re mine and why I’ve always been yours.” Billionaire Blake Landon has fought hard to protect his wife, Erica, and keep her out of the path of those who would hurt her to destroy him. When life has torn them apart, somehow they’ve always found their way back to each other, more in love and stronger than ever. As the story begins, Blake and Erica are preparing to return to Boston following their beautiful, decadent month-long honeymoon. Just as their troubles seem safely behind them, scandal surrounding would-be Governor Daniel Fitzgerald’s election threatens to destroy their happily-ever-after when Blake is charged with rigging the election to tip in the favor of Erica’s estranged father. When he’d been thirteen years old, Blake had brought a dozen of the most powerful Wall Street executives to their knees—men who’d been trying to ruin the whistle-blowers threatening to expose their Ponzi scheme—by writing a code that would deplete the bank accounts of those men to punish them for everything they’d stolen. Except weeks before M89—the hacker group he’d been a member of—was set to act, the plan had changed. The group had wanted to broaden the net and use the code he’d written to skim small amounts from other accounts, accounts held by people who hadn’t done anything wrong other than trust those men with their money. Blake had refused to go through with the new plan, so he and the group had parted ways. But when M89 went ahead and released the code he’d written, the feds arrested him for the crime as well. He’d cooperated with the authorities, the hacking charges against him were dropped, and his records had been sealed because he was a minor. However, it seems the FBI still wants its pound of flesh, and now the feds are determined to nail him for what he did a decade ago with some fresh new charges. But with Blake’s freedom at stake, Erica will stop at nothing to clear his name. A well-written, dramatic read, Hard Love is an emotional story of desire, revenge, hope, and, most importantly, love. Unlike the other books in the series, much of this story is told from Blake’s perspective, which was something I truly enjoyed. Although I’m sad to see the series come to an end, with a heartwarming epilogue and an emotionally satisfying HEA, Hard Love delivers a poignant conclusion to this wildly popular love story.

Meredith Wild’s “Hard Love” is the fifth tale in the Hacker series! Blake Landon is as amazing as ever! The sex scenes are yummy and plentiful! I like that hacking came back into the storyline again this time. I don't know if this is truly the end of the series or not, maybe there will be a surprise #6! I never want Erica and Blake's story to end!

4.5 stars to amazing story. Wow - Erica and Blake's story is over? What do I have to look forward to when I need suspense, intrigue and Very, Very steamy scenes? I am sure Meredith Wild has something cooking up her sleeves to wrap up us into her carefully crafted characters. This is definitely a serial story - cannot start with this book. Go back to book one and binge read on through. I truly loved both characters. Erica is smart, head strong and can handle alpha male Blake's controlling ways. This book, unlike the previous, is told in dual POV which I must say was a perfect way to conclude the story. Their lives are now moving in a direction where they have situations trying to pull them apart but just strengthens their bond. This book gave a perfect amount of mystery yet satisfying ending. And, WOW, can Ms Wild get the sheets to burn between these two. I appreciated the epilogue. Although further in time, glad to see some things never change. If you haven't read the Hacker series, it's definitely one of my favorites in the suspense/romance genre. If you have been following the story, I think you'll be pleased with the conclusion.

Guest Reviewed by Jennifer and posted at Under The Covers Book Blog Meredith Wild wraps up her Hacker series with Hard Love. This has been an extremely entertaining series for me, with the right combination of suspense and romance. I’ve always had a thing for nerdy types who clean up well and like kinky sex, and Hard Love continues in that tradition as the conclusion to Erica and Blake Landon’s love story. The two newlyweds are just back from an amazing honeymoon, when Blake becomes the target of a police investigation involving Erica’s father’s election as governor. Erica and Blake must find a way to clear his name, but Blake still harbors guilt over the ramifications of his hacker past. Erica knows that this fight won’t be easy, but she’s willing to pull out all of the stops to regain Blake’s freedom and ensure their happily ever after. At the conclusion of Hard Limit (book four), I remember feeling quite satisfied and unsure that a book five was really going to add much to the drama of this series. Now, looking back, I can see how ingenious Ms. Wild was is her deliberate loose plot string (which I can’t reveal here!). Hard Love allows Blake and Erica to finally come to terms with Blake’s past by facing its consequences head on. If you’ve followed the series from the beginning, I think you will really appreciate the details and how each character’s story is concluded to the reader’s satisfaction. All of the past characters, good and bad, make at least a cameo appearance. How some of the relationships stand in the end was pretty surprising for me. Blake and Erica’s relationship has evolved by leaps and bounds over the last few installments. Blake has continued to become a tamer version of himself, which is probably good for Erica, but a little more bland to read, though if you want sweet romance, they give it to you full force. Blake never loses his need for kink, but it’s not even a minor focus here, and I wouldn’t call this a BDSM themed book, despite a few hot scenes that fall within that range. The sex is still very hot and heavy, if a little less exciting for me. I was pleasantly surprised by the epilogue and the following deleted scene. Epilogues tend to be predicable wrap ups, but not everything lined up as I suspected it would which was great. The Hacker series has been one of my favorites of the last few years and I’m sad to see it go, though I think this is where the series absolutely should end. I was wrong in thinking it should have occurred sooner and I’m so glad we got Hard Love as the conclusion.
