    Tummy Aching Hilarious

I read this book in 1 day, who would think that a man can write a book from a woman's view that's so in tune with what some woman actually have to go through. Author James L. Lewis must have been a woman in a previous life to be so on point with A Hard Man Is Good To Find . He definitely has a way with words in this book, it was so funny that from laughing so hard I shook the bed and woke up my husband at 1 in the morning….Yes indeed that's how good it was. My girl Michelle broke it down so clear that I just felt her stress for each scenario she went through was a trip in it self . Well they say "you have to go through a few frogs before you meet your prince." Well she did the right thing by reprioritizing her focus on herself until she felt she was ready to find "the one". And Lord did she find it...LOL! I always hear the saying "be careful what you wish for, you might just get it and more" the real question is will you be ready when you get it? My girl Michelle just knew she was way, way past ready...LMBO just thinking about her cracks me up! This is truly a must read and please have some depends LOL....yes that's how hard you will be laughing plenty.

WARNING.....You are going to laugh out loud!! Highly recommend!

I have a warning for you. Be prepared to laugh out loud when you read this book! Seriously….I was reading this book on my Kindle Fire while I was working out at the gym and I was literally laughing out loud. People around me probably thought I was crazy (especially since I was also listening to music….I love that I can read and listen to music both on the fire).

The main character is Michelle, and James W. Lewis did an amazing job writing from a woman’s point of view. I got to read about various men that she met and the problems that she was having with them. She was about ready to give up and decided she would finish her bachelors degree and eat better and exercise more. Then she met Daryl. He was perfect it seemed, but he just seemed to be taking things really slow. She was trying to figure him out. Finally he decided to tell her his big secret. Some secret it was too! What a shock!!

I’m telling you right now….read this book! I don’t remember the last time I actually laughed out loud while reading a book. There was NOTHING about this book that I didn’t like. I liked every minute of it! I absolutely can’t wait to read another book by James W. Lewis. Wait…..there is something I didn’t like…..that it had to end! I highly, highly recommend this book! It’s definitely a favorite of mine!

    A Hilarious & Great Read!

A Hard Man is Good to Find by James W. Lewis is a hilarious erotic comedy about a young woman named Michelle Larsen who finds herself in an interesting predicament with her new someone, Daryl Jackson. Is it true what they say about black men? From start to finish this book was hilarious to say the least! I loved the colorful commentary that Michelle always referred to when speaking about the men she had previously dated. Whether it's reject number 1, 2 or 3 Michelle has hilarious names for each one. "Booty Bandit, Anal Intruder, Captain Funkie Azz, etc..." I must say Lewis' characters were well thought out and his dialogue kept me laughing until the very end of the book. Michelle's character is the kind of best friend every girl needs. She tells it like it is! The comedy within this novel is fantastic! Get ready to laugh out loud! This is a great book especially for young women who are still in the dating scene. Michelle's character dates your typical pick of losers. It's extremely relate able because most woman have encountered such men. Whether it's men with bad hygiene or not so pleasing packages. Overall, I would have to say A Hard Man is Good to Find is the perfect book if you're looking for some comedic relief. I read it in one sitting! The characters are extremely likeable and the story is great! I can't wait for James W. Lewis' next book!

    Funny sometimes, but...

I don't know, can't quite put my finger on what bothered me about this book. It's written conversationally in african-american vernacular; for me that was interesting; but once you get by that interesting part it just goes down hill.

    It's not hard to tell...

Who says that men are the only ones who want it when they want it? Michelle Larsen pulls no punches when it comes to getting satisfied. She wants it done right or not at all. She keeps her swag on one hundred thousand and when it's time to get with Mr. Right, she makes sure she is ready. Even if she has to go through a few lames to figure out what she won't deal with.

I loved this book. It was so seamlessly written that I don't recall a single editing mishap that would take my attention away from the storyline. I could appreciate the bold manner that Michelle handled her business and enjoyed the different way the story was told. This book had me laughing from beginning to end. It was like I was having a conversation with my best friend over a bottle of chilled wine. Women will love it. Men need to read it and will ultimately adore it. Myths are busted about sex, what women want, and how men come off. And for it to be written by a man, I'd have to say he did his research because he was spot on in so many ways! Highly recommended!

    OMG

Michelle Larsen has not been so lucky in love. It hasn't been for lack of trying. She just seems to keep meeting rejects. That is until she meets Daryl Jackson. He's what Michelle has been looking for and the feelings seem to be mutual. But he's too good to be true, right?

"A Hard Man Is Good to Find" is a very quick, fun, entertaining and easy read. However, what works for the novel also works against the novel - the narration. Told through the voice of main character Michelle in a conversational tone, her conversation and attitude at times were exaggerated in an attempt to be funny. It made the narration seemed forced, not true/authentic and/or a man trying too hard to talk and think like a woman. Had the author pulled back some, it would have made for a more even and believable read. "A Hard Man Is Good to Find" is a much lighter read than his debut novel "Sellout," but both are recommendable reads. James W. Lewis is definitely an author to add to your shelf.

Michelle is a woman who has had her fair share of relationships

Michelle is a woman who has had her fair share of relationships that didnt work. Being beautiful, hard working and successful the only thing shes missing is someone by her side. She has dealt with her share of men, to the man who doesnt listen to instructions and likes to place things where they do not belong, to the man not working with much in the man department and lastly to the man who rather go out as he his. She deals with them all and nicely rejects them for the rejects that they are. Whats interesting about this is that some family may have dealt with some of these issues when dating. Michelle just about gives up on the dating scene until dating basically shows up close to her door. Will she take her chances and get to know this mystery man making him the one, or will this man tend to be like the others and have issues?

The author being a man, in my opinion did a good job writing the character as a woman from her point of view. There were a few funny parts that you couldnt help to laugh at as you read about the things that Michelle is dealing with as well as going through. I think some females can understand Michelle and what she is going through in terms of dating and the guy not being who he seems to be at first. When Michelle mets Daryl she feels like he is the one, hes nice and sweet and thinks about her but he doesnt try again with her and that gets Michelle to thinking that Daryl is not being honest about something. As Michelle was trying to figure ot what was wrong with Daryl, I was also trying to figure out and we were both wrong. That secret will have you shaking your head once it is revealed.

I think the book started off a bit slow, and some places seemed to be a little dragged out, as well as a few minor editing issues but other than that I did enjoy the story. For that reason I give the book 3.5 stars. This is the second time reading from the author, I read his other book SellOut and I enjoyed that one as well. I would recommend it though it was a different kind of read that was enjoyable. Can't wait to see what else the author has in store for the readers.

Such a good read......there were some really moments in this book made me laugh out loud....I wish that their friends and family were brought more into the l story, I also love that Daryl was not some Rich as hell fantasy man but a average brother with a regular job and no drama and just positive. We all have a Michelle in our lives you know looking for Mr Wishlist well in this story she finds him cant go into to much detail because i'll tell to much this soooooo worth the purchase
