While I would never really kill myself, I have come close a number of times in my life. These poems were all written in the first five years of my incarceration, before I cam to Christ, with the exception of “I’m Alone”, which was written when my fiancée left me.

Meet the Author

My name is David and I was born in Oklahoma in 1983 and moved to Washington when my parents divorced. By age 11 I was going to jail and at 19 was arrested for murder. I’ve been in prison ever since.

Poetry is just a release for me. I pour out my emotions on paper instead of trying to saw through my wrists with a paper clip. So I refuse counseling, so pen and paper are my therapy.

You open a drawer and see a folder of files. They are still unfinished.
Name: She has no ideal name and was given the name Renosance.
Age: 11
Strength: 4/10
Endurance: 7/10
Sociability: 2/10
Intelligence: 8/10
Appearance: Subject has purple hair that falls loosely below her shoulders. We tried to eliminate all artifical things on her, but her hair was still purple, showing she was born with naturally purple hair. Subject also has orange eyes, which are also a result of birth. The clothes given to her are a black tee and jeans.
Personality: Subject shows no empathy. Subject is mostly quiet and most of the time obedient. It seems the subject has no ability to care about anybody else, which is possibly our fault. Subject is shy but has a terrible temper. In the case she loses her temper, we have found that the only thing that will calm her is music.
Powers: We have injected her with ghost breath, giving her an ability to pass through almost any object with one touch, although we have found a substance that lowers her powers and prohibits her from passing through. We have decided to make her cage out of a glass made of that substance.
