I know some of these folks,...

After riding Harleys in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1975, it was natural (though unexpected) that I'd know some of the folks shown in this book. "Hooper" of the VietNam Vets Motorcycle Club, in particular, along with Arlen Ness, who I met in 1977 as a gate guard pulling security for the Modified Motorcycle Association swap meet in Sacramento. This is an interesting intro to the Harley world, though many folks think of it as an "outlaw" scene. Not so. Lots of eight-to-five hardworkers, family-raisers, even church-goin' folks ride. Though, remember the roots.... Look back. Good book. Recommended by Charley Mike. Keep the rubber side down, the shiny side up.
