Overview

Based on Lalaloopsy Silly Hair Star, who secured a spot in Toys R Us' 2012 list of Hot Holiday Toys. The Silly Hair Star is the first ever talking, singing, dancing, hair-spinning Lalaloopsy.

The Lalaloopsy girls find out that there is going to be a new girl moving into the neighborhood--Harmony B. Sharp. They are all very excited to meet her and find out what she’s like. Each girl hopes Harmony will be a little like herself.

When the girls finally meet Harmony, they find out she likes performing, dancing, and especially singing. In the end, the girls are glad that Harmony is unique because she brings her special talents to Lalaloopsy Land--and teaches everyone a new song and dance routine.

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
The lalaloopsy are rag dolls who magically come to life when their very last stitch is sown. There is a play on the word sew on the front cover and back cover "Sew Magical and Sew Cute!" The rag dolls are all girls and they have names that relate to their favorite activity—Spot Splatter Splash is a painter, Crumbs Sugar Cookie loves to bake, Bea Spells A-Lot, etc. They are all quite excited because someone new has moved into the neighborhood. They are joined by other friends to welcome their new neighbor. It turns out that her name is Harmony B. Sharp and her passion is singing, dancing, and acting. Before you know it, all the girls are practicing a song-and-dance routine with plans to put on a show. The final message is very clear "at first I hope that you would be just like me...everybody is different, and that's what makes each of us special." It is pretty sugary, so go get a glass of milk or juice and a few cookies and snuggle up with your little one and read this book together. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
