Overview

Harry is a little white dog with black spots who has a big problem—the lady next door sings all the time and hurts poor Harry's ears. She sings higher than the peanut man's whistle and louder than the siren on the fire engine, but no one does anything about it—except Harry that is. Harry comes up with one clever scheme after another to get her to stop, each one funnier than the last and each one landing him a night in the doghouse. But Harry is ingenious and persistent, and his attempts finally lead to a solution...

    Highly Recommend

My grandmother used to read this book to me and my siblings and it was so memorable that we still talk about it 30 years later, so I purchased two copies - one for my one-year old nephew and another for my five-month old son (who loves it!). I highly recommend this book!

Harry and The Lady Next Door

I liked this book for several reasons and chose it because I read stories to pre - school childern. Because it is a picture book, the illustrations were the right size for reading to a group. I also chose it because it is a beginner chapter book which I used as an encouragement to my pre-school listeners. I told them since they had been such good listeners in the past, I thought they were ready for a chapter book like the big elementary kids.
And just one more reason I chose this book- who doesn't love to read about a cute little dog's adventure?

    Fun Adventures!

I remember the Harry stories from when I was little (I'm 42) so when I saw this, I knew I had to have it for my kids (ages 4 and 5) They love the stories as much as I did!
