Although I loved William's and Doyle's work, they were often much too epic for a series that is only "semi-epic". In terms of complimenting or augmenting what happens on screen, this is the best since the first movie, which was all about the discovery and wonder of magic. The most personal movie, HP6, has the most personal music. Great job.

Great, moving score that definitely captures the emotion in the 6th part of the series. I only wish the tracks were longer. Hooper doesn't borrow much of John Williams' themes from the earlier scores, but he definitely makes his mark with his motifs during the darker portions of the movie.

I might have just liked this cd because i love the harry potter books and the movies, well at times, but i loved the music on this CD i recomemded it to my other obbsessed friends and they loved it too... =)

I think that for such a good movie they got pretty lazy in creating a new score. A lot of the score is from the previouse movie witch is fine but I was expecting a more original score.

For movies as the ones of the Harry Potter saga the music is of the most important elements, since it is what gives the adequate atmosphere to a movie. In the case of this Nicholas Hooper´s score the music not only creates an atmosphere but, makes you feel it. The sonorous an soulful music of the score is dark enough, but at the same time beautifull as the world of Harry Potter. One example of this contrast are the themes of "Harry and Hermione", which is absolutely beatiful, peaceful and even passionate, making us feel the love of hermione towards Ron and the mutual sad felling of Harry and Hermione, in contrast with "Malfoy´s Mission" that makes you feel all the fear in Draco´s soul. In few words this is until now the best of the scores in the Harry potter movie-saga for its sonority and its soulfulness, along with John williams's score "Harry Potter and The Prisioner of Azkaban"

Nicholas Hooper has yet again captured the emotion of Harry Potter. Patrick Doyle and John Williams did well, but I believe Nicholas Hooper did fantastic.

When I saw the movie and heard the score of Mr. N. Hooper, I thought that the score was spot on. Me, being an Irish-Scotsman at heart, thought that the snippet of "Farwell Aragog" was wonderfully haunting and did strike a cord. Nicholas Hooper, in my opinion, is perfect to create the score for Harry Potter

I have been a part of the harry Potter fandom for over a decade. Not since the third installment, the Prisoner of Azkaban, have I ever a greater Score. Listening to the clips alone caused me to let out a tiny squeal. Every song I heard matched perfectly to the scene I have been playing in my head. My favorite Song was track 2, In Noctem. This song is exactly what I have been looking forward to hearing in the last few Harry Potter movies. It has the quality of being both ethereal and haunting. Overall a spot on soundtrack and I look forward to being able to listen to it over and over again.

Composer Nicholas Hooper infused the sixth film in the Harry Potter series with much of the same utilitarian weight and whimsy that drove his work on 2007's Order of the Phoenix. As the third composer to be brought in to the world of Hogwarts, Hooper deftly balanced John Williams' original themes with those of his own creation, a track he continued to stroll down for 2009's Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
