Meet the Author

John Williams

John Williams (1922-1994) was born and raised in northeast Texas. Despite a talent for writing and acting, Williams flunked out of a local junior college after his first year. He reluctantly joined the war effort, enlisting in the Army Air Corps, and managing to write a draft of his first novel while there. Once home, Williams found a small publisher for the novel and enrolled at the University of Denver, where he was eventually to receive both his B.A. and M.A., and where he was to return as an instructor in 1954.

    Not easy piano

This was listed online as "easy piano." I purchased it for my 11 and 9 year olds who have been playing the piano for 1 1/2 years. Unfortunately, it is not "easy" at all.

    So many beautiful pieces

This book is great not just for HP fans, but anyone wanting to expand their music collection. Some of the pieces are quite simple, but many are more for advanced beginner or intermediate players. My only negative is the book itself. It is not wire bound, and is hard to keep open to the piece you are working on. The pieces themselves, however are beautiful.

    Excellent!

The music is easy to read and I was playing the songs from the movie in one day! I definitely recommend this.
