This book is an easy grab to read short but informative descriptions of specific increments covering President Truman's life. He is the author of most of the chapters, while noted Truman historian Robert Ferrell covers the chapters of Truman's early life. Each chapter is complete with applicable pictures of the people involved during the time-period covered, with pictures of important letters added as well. You will gain a strong understanding of President Truman without sacrificing too much from the short length of the book. It is a great prelude to touring the Truman Presidential Museum & Library.
