Harry Says: Boss Talk without the Warm Fuzzies

Overview

Harry Says is a refreshingly candid glimpse into the mind of a successful boss. Over the years Harry wrote his private thoughts in a little spiral notebook that was discovered after his death in 2006. The book reproduces his sharp, accurate and witty observations just the way he recorded them. Everyone who manages people will probably find themsleves nodding in agreement and laughing at a lot of Harry has to say. A great gift for any boss.

What People Are Saying

Brent Clanton
"Harry Says is absolutely brilliant and should be in every boss's library. It's hysterical but dead-on."--(Brent Clanton, The Morning Show, BizRadio Network)
Karen E. Kline
"Harry Says has a gem on almost every page, and there's plenty of humor. It's the kind of book you could read once, then pick it up to read five different times and always get something new out of it."--(Karen E. Kline, Smart Answers Column, Business Week Online)
Patty DeDominic
"Harry is my kind of boss, straight shooting, insightful and with plenty of humor. He has just the right point for almost every major management issue. Which is why I gave one of these little gems to each of our clients."--(Patty DeDominic, CEO, PDQCAREERS Group of Companies)

Meet the Author

Bruce Feldman is an award-winning writer, editor and co-publisher of a small press. He met Harry years ago when Bruce went to Harry's company to do research for a movie for television. Already a CEO running one of several successful companies he headed over his long career, Harry liked Bruce, and they became good friends. Fascinated by Harry's perceptive but often provocative insights about being a boss, Bruce frequently urged him to write down the things he was saying.
Until after Harry died, Bruce thought Harry wasn't interested in the idea. Then Harry's daughter found a small notebook Harry kept in the top righthand drawer of his desk. It was filled with his thoughts, a note telling her to give it to Bruce, and a note to Bruce saying he could do with it whatever he wanted as long as he didn't use his real name. Harry Says is the result.
