About the Author

About The Author
Emily Bronte is an English novelist and social critic, best known for -- Oh! About the author of this book. Sorry! Lenore Skenazy has been a columnist since before she was born. She spent 14 years at the New York Daily News and another two at The New York Sun. She even wrote a bit for Mad Magazine, and a whole lot for Cracked. (Note: She did not write for crack. People always mis-hear that.)
After she penned a column about letting her 9-year-old ride the subway alone, she found herself in a media firestorm -- which beats finding yourself in a real firestorm, hands down. She went on to found the book, blog and movement Free-Range Kids.
Nonetheless, she doesn't dwell on parenting issues here, because even parenting gurus get sick of talking about what age your kid can go to the public restroom unaccompanied.
Lenore lives in New York City with her family and invites you to visit. For real. She's stuck at home all day, so drop a line! .
