With that last word spoken, Kenny took one slow step backward. He had given the man no personal information, said nothing about his name.
Kenny then looked to his side, feeling something cold and moist wrapped around his waist. It was the man's arm.
How could that be? Having taken that long backward step, Kenny was now at least five or six feet away from the coffin. How could the man, who was still sitting up in the coffin, possibly reach him from that kind of distance?
Kenny looked toward the man, noticing for the first time how long the man's left arm seemed to stretch. Yes, he appeared to be a tall man, but not tall enough to have an arm so long. In fact, Kenny had never seen such an arm on any man, no matter how tall he might have been. An arm that long seemed almost inhuman....
