I have just read Haunted Rhode Island and I must say that this book is unbelievable. It not only tells the history and haunts of places but how to get there. It is truly a one of a kind piece of literature in the field of the paranormal. The stories are presented in an almost surreal twilight zone manner at times blending facts with the actual experience of being there. Whether I visit the places or not I still get a chill and a feeling like I have been there. Thanks for a book the public can finally be a part of.

I love the way the book is presented. The author makes the hauntings come to 'life'. This book makes me want to visit some of the places he mentioned and have lunch or maybe spend the night. It's a great book that you can read from cover to cover or jump in anywhere because each chapter is a complete story.

I've lived in Rhode Island all my life and was immediately interested when I saw this book on the shelf. It not only gives you a history behind these occurrences, but directions to get there. I look forward to the weekend excursions that I never knew existed!

As a lifelong resident of Rhode Island and a fan of ghost stories, I had heard many of the stories in this book. Mr D'Agostino has put them together in a way that has never been done before. Rather than just re-writing the stories in his own words, he gives the original story and also his own experiences while investigating the stories. By doing this, he has elevated himself from just jumping on the ghost story band wagon to joining the reader as a fan of the material he is presenting as well as an expert. Mr D'Agostino has given us a well written and entertaining look at some of Rhode Island's dear departed sons and daughters that I think anyone would enjoy.

This is the most comprehensive book on the subject of haunts I have read to date. Not only does it tell history but also gives plenty of photos to help identify the sites in the book. I have already visited several and find this book an encyclopedia for future reference. I am not from RI but enjoy the visits to the places in the book. Thank you for finally writing something worth reading and experiencing at the same time.
