    I Also Recommend:

Good book as a baby gift.

This was one of my 2 favorite books when my kids were little. I have been giving this and one other book, Blue Hat, Green Hat by Sandra Boynton, as a baby gift for the last 10 years.

I love the message that a mother/parent cares about her child and will search endlessly until her child is safely home.

I love the hide and seek playfulness of the illustrations.

    I recommend it highly.

    A Little Different Each Time

We have read this story to our toddler since he was a newborn. We have named the lost duckling, but, each time we read, his trip from the nest is a little different. Our son also has become very good at finding 'Walter' on each page. We enjoy the book as much as our son!
