I very much enjoyed Cole and Violet's story and although their courtship was back to front, it all works out well in the end. I liked the way they dealt with their fears and the chemistry between them felt real. I received a free copy of this novel from the author in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review.

Once again McDavid has created a sweet and heartfelt tale that was easy to read. Her concise yet descriptive writing allows the characters to shine as the story unfolds. I love how easily I can picture the entire setting of this tale, even now, yet at the same time, the descriptions never slowed the forward progression of the tale, tugging my heart along with it. I love the way that she brings emotions to the surface through her characters and their actions. It’s so easy to feel and understand what they do. At the same time, they don’t become predictable. They’re such genuine, real people that I couldn’t help but fall in love with them. This was a great, quick read romance that I really enjoyed. McDavid’s stories always capture my heart and leave me daydreaming about her heroes afterwards. This was no exception. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Drama and turmoil at the ranch, as Vi and Cole are trying to decide, if future together, is what they should be aiming for. I have enjoyed the Mustang Valley stories, they are so full of life, real feelings, and true troubles. Nothing is painted as 'romance novel pink' but the characters struggle with real issues, their arguments, hurdles, and disappointments are like straight from the real life, and they have to stop, think, grow, and make compromises, before things could work out. But not only their own life issues, Vi and Cole have to face their parents' issues as well, and when middle aged parents act like teenagers, it isn't easy to keep the ship going straight. The bond between the brothers is slowly, but surely, growing and deepening. They are not only getting to know each other better, but learning to trust each other's as well. Stress and pain from the past makes a mess of the present, and Vi and Cole both make mistakes, that they have to admit, correct, and ask forgiveness for. True family drama at the ranch, that is forcing the brothers to evaluate life, focus their goals, and built new and better, brighter dreams for themselves and to those they love. Truly enjoying the series! ~ Four Spoons
