A half-breed wanted for murder shows up injured in the garden of a convent. A woman soon to take her vows secretly nurses him back to health while realizing she's falling in love with him. He has a past, is wanted by the law, and tries to fight his feelings for her. This reminded me of an old west tale. Author gives you some history of the Lakota indians and weaves her story between their world and the white man. Over 600 pgs on my nook.

This is a sweet romance between a novice, Hallie who not only falls in love with Hawk, but finds her father at the same time, then is literally forced to get married. On top of all this, Hawk regains his daughter, and they live happily ever after.
