Overview

A frantic book of short stories.

Frustrated and disturbed by his surroundings, Jim Dayton writes about life's peculiar characters. Mixed with Jim's frantic style, lovers, killers, strippers, aliens, and even an appearance by Satan make this collection of short stories irreverent and thought provoking. With his concentration on suburbia and its façade of perfection, Jim pokes at the shell until a small crack shows the unsettling truth. Dark, philosophical, and sometimes humorous, He Kept to Himself, Mostly examine life from some of the most skewed vantage points.

Don't be frightened, he's not under YOUR bed. Then again, you might want to check. Step outside today. Look up and down the quiet little street with the smart houses and perfectly groomed shrubs. Isn't it nice? Now ask yourself, is my neighbor plotting to kill me? Are the neighborhood children really part of some Satanic cult? Is the guy that works from home really having afternoon orgies with all the neighborhood housewives while I'm at work? Does the bus driver have dreams about going on a homocidal rampage? Is suburbia just a little too perfect? Ha, ha , ha. Enjoy!
