Meet the Author

Tracy L. Darity, resides in St. Petersburg, Florida. She is the mother of three daughters, Morgan, Jasmin, and Shaunte. Tracy currently works in the benefits industry as a Relationship Manager but is currently enjoying the success of her debut novel "He Loves Me He Loves Me Not!"
As a child she had a creative imagination and a love for reading. In her early teens she began writing short stories as a hobby. It was not until she attended the 1997 Essence Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana, that she decided she wanted to fulfill her dream of becoming a novelist. During the festival she attended a forum and was moved into action by the words of Tavis Smiley. Mr. Smiley told the attendees, "We all have a God given talent but if you don't have the desire to define, develop, and deliver your talent, you will always be in the audience and never on stage." Armed with these powerful words Tracy returned home and penned "He Loves Me He Loves Me Not!" Although it would be a decade before she decided to self-publish, her story is just as powerful today and is captivating readers everywhere.

Growing Up Can Be A Pain

Tracy Darity follows the life of Khadejah Johnson. From an adolescent to adulthood she is taken on a rollercoaster ride in search of love and happiness. Khadejah goes through various stumbling blocks and challenges as well as experiencing what life has to offer. With loving family and friends in her corner, will she be able to have a peace of mind and the stability she's been searching for?

"He Loves Me He Loves Me Not" was an incredible read. This debut novel was pretty hefty but it was well worth it. Tracy takes the reader through realistic scenarios that in some way we can relate to. My emotions got the best of me while reading this book. The characters were very enjoyable; you'll come to love Khadejah as your own daughter or sister and want nothing but the best for her. As women, young and old, we go through different experiences and adversities in our lives - some good and others not so well. But we push forth and strive for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
