Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
As Anna Sampson discovers that her fantasies about billionaire neighbor Blaine watching her are real, she also acknowledges that her lackluster job as a cold-caller will not pay the house-sitting bills. When Anna is offered a position as assistant to Blaine's assistant, she finds her proximity to Blaine enticing her to action. It seems that Anna is not the only one finding control in short supply. VERDICT The second title in this series opens the door to more than a voyeuristic experience. Those looking for steamy escapades and escapism will enjoy this one. We continue Anna and Blaine's journey together. The voyeurism moves forward to touching which is a huge obstacle for both Anna and Blaine due to scars from their pasts. You take this journey with them as they face their past hurts and are able to find a kindred spirit in each other. Neither makes these choices lightly. Even for a short story, I felt Cynthia Sax did a great job of giving us insight into each characters personal struggles as they find something in the other that they are afraid they will lose if they can't overcome their demons. The sexual encounters are off the charts as their connection deepens.

We find out even more about Blaine and Anna is the second part in the trilogy. I couldn’t wait to read it so as soon as I did I had to start and couldn’t stop until I reached the end. In this one Anna opens herself up a little more and Blaine gets scared and tries to run away but he ends up coming back. There is just something that can’t be denied between these two. Anna is used to not bringing any attention to herself. Blaine is a man she becomes to trust more and more everyday.

I never thought midnight swims could be so hot. I love the nickname that Anna has. Blaine named her Nymph and she has been named true. I could just imagine all of the water scenes. The author is very descriptive in her words and I can just sit back and still see it in my mind after I have finished the book. It has a little of the fifty shades to it, but none of the BDSM. In this book they both have scars from the past and they need each other to be whole. Blaine is a very private guy and you can tell because he only trust some people. He keeps those close to him, but even they don’t see all that Anna sees.

This book is hot and explosive. Each time they are together is even hotter than the last and you just hope that it will get even steamier if there was any way it could get that way. I will have to say the limo and office is one of the hottest scenes that I have read in awhile. I can’t even think about what will happen in the next book. I am growing so excited knowing that I will soon find out. If you love books by Cynthia Sax then you really need to read this series. Even if you haven’t when you read this you will want all you can get.

    Compelling Romance!

Find this review and more at Lusty Penguin Reviews!

Cynthia Sax scores a huge hit with her compelling erotic romance series, The Seen Trilogy. The Seen Trilogy consists of three novellas: He Watches Me, He Touches Me, and He Claims Me. Each novella is approximately one hundred pages, and Avon Impulse released the series as serial, each book coming out one week after the other. I must say that I was very pleased that Avon Impulse released them in this manner as I’ve become disappointed with serial stories that span over many months. Since I read all three of these novellas in one sitting, I’m going to review them as a whole. Sax pulls the reader into these stories by telling them through Anna Sampson’s eyes.

Housesitting in a neighborhood beyond her means, Anna hopes to remain invisible because her father’s prison record follows her wherever she goes. To remain invisible to others, Anna expends a lot of energy with the way she acts and how she dresses. Her survival mechanism leaves her empty inside and lonely, which just made my heart hurt for her. For weeks, Anna has been indulging in midnight swims and other erotic activity in her neighbor’s pool only to discover that homeowner, Gabriel Blaine, has been watching her. Discovering Blaine has been watching her doesn’t upset Anna; actually, she is really turned on by it. Since she has never met Blaine, Anna is fine with him watching as long as he doesn’t touch. As their relationship progresses, the sexual attraction between Anna and Blaine is off the charts. Their sexual encounters are sensual and scorching hot. Blaine knows that Anna likes—to be watched during these encounters—and makes sure that she feels absolutely safe, which is another reason to just love him. Blaine sees Anna’s beauty and the wonderfully strong woman underneath, which endeared his character to me. Anna comes alive with Blaine when she finally sees herself through someone else’s eyes. This journey of self-discovery is a wonderful thing to witness.

Furthermore, Sax masterfully develops a wonderful friendship with Goth Girl, Camille, a girl at the charity where Anna works. Watching Anna develop a friendship with Camille and a relationship with Blaine while simultaneously learning that relationships should be cherished, fought for, and defended brought a huge smile to my face.

Although I thoroughly enjoyed Anna and Blaine’s relationship, one of my favorite aspects of this series was the moth metaphor that is intertwined throughout this series, adding depth to this erotic romance. Anna really is like a moth, active at night, not as colorful as the moth’s butterfly counterpart, but beautiful in her own way, strong but yet delicate.

An engrossing story line with an alluring couple make The Seen Trilogy a must read for lovers of erotic romance! Thanks to the success of The Seen Trilogy, Sax will write additional stories with characters we’ve met in the series. I admit I’m looking forward to reading these future stories too.

I enjoyed the premise of this book and the way the characters were written.  I would warn that it is a very erotic story.  Although I enjoy erotica there were times I was a little taken aback, not by the content but by the way it was verbalized.  I also would have preferred that it be one book rather than 3 parts.

Gabriel and Anna have moved their relationship to the next level

Gabriel and Anna have moved their relationship to the next level. He now touches her but that is all he will do. She still visits him poolside but she wants him to take her virginity but that is one thing he won't do. People at Anna's work are noticing a change in her and it is drawing them to her. This was another great book by Ms. Sax and I cannot wait to read the final book in the series.
