Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
"An important lesson about family and friendship."

—Children's Literature

Children's Literature - Lisette Baez
Heads Up, Horses! is number five of an eight book series called "Wind Dancers," in which four tiny magical horses share their stories. This magical foursome appeared from a puff of dandelion seeds as a young girl named Leanna blew on the delicate flower. Each emerged with the ability to fly with shimmering wings and glass-like manes. The book opens with a brief introduction of the four horses: Kona, Brisa, Sumatra and Sirocco. Kona is the leader of this supernatural foursome as well as the star of Book 5 of the series. The reader will follow her as she prepares for an important soccer game that could change her relationship with her family. Kona is faced with a difficult decision. Should she break up her magical family of four to play soccer with the real-life horses? Or be true to the Wind Dancers? Kona will learn an important lesson about family and friendship when she is faced with the consequences of her actions. She will eventually learn the valuable lesson of being a good sport and will see that winning is not always everything. Reviewer: Lisette Baez
