    Chapter Five

Chloe's POV I woke up the early next morning. For a second I forgot where I was, then I remembered the earthquake. Everyone else was still asleep. I slipped out of the hut and into the clearing. The sunrise was bright in the sky. Lily stumbled out of th hut, yawning. "Whatcha doing?" She said. "Just...thinking." I replied. I looked around, think about what we could do for food. I knew there was a creek near by. The raspberry bush! By the creek! Perfect. And it's summer, so they'll be ripe. "C'mon, let's go pick raspberries for breakfast." I said "Okay!" I heard Lily run to catch up with me. We began to walk towards the creek. Max's POV I opened my eyes to see light streaming through the opening in the hut. Chloe and Lily weren't there. They had probably gone for a walk or something. I thought about last night, under the stars with Lily. I smiled. That was fun. Jack was still asleep. I sighed and dropped a pebble on his back. As soon as it touched him, he was awake. "THE SKY IS FALLING!" He screamed. I rolled my eyes. Jack would sleep the whole day but if something touched him, he was awake instantly and shrieking."No it's not. But it is time to get up." I climbed out of hut. It was completely light out and the sky was cloudless blue. "Hey guys!" I turned around to see Lily and Chloe. Lily smiled. "We've got breakfast!"
