Healing Grace ( Touch of Grace book #3 ) By: Beth Shriver Oh my, what a book. This was my first book to read of Beth Shriver and I really loved it. This is the third book in Touch of Grace. I have not read the first two, but if they are anything like "Healing Grace" they will be awesome. I would say you can read "Healing Grace" as a stand alone. Beth Shriver has herself a winner with this one. She has done an excellent job with the characters and bringing  two different worlds together. The Amish and the English working together . Abby's mom passed away a few years back leaving her with her dad, Jim she calls him. Abby really has a hard life since her mom's passing. Her dad is abusive to her and things keep getting worse. Abby and Jim goes to a horse sale. She buys her a horse with the money her mom left her. She really loves horses. While traveling back they have an accident. Her horse is hurt. Mose Fisher is a handsome young Amish man and he comes upon them after the accident. He offers to help , but Abby tells him she can take care of her horses. Mose wants to help Abby and there is something that draws him to her. Things gets lots worse at home and Abby has a decision to make. She needs help , but where can she go and who can she turn to? Will Mose and the Amish help Her, or will it be against their belief? There is a lot of forgiveness and healing in this story and my heart goes out to Abby. Can she forgive the pain she has been through with her dad and let her heart heal? Can she ever trust another man. Well to hear more of Abby and Mose I highly recommend reading "Healing Grace" you will not be disappointed.  I was given a copy of this book from the author for my honest review and I have given it.

Life  on a Texas horse farm is hard for Abigail Barker especially since her mothers death.  Her father's verbal and emotional abuse towards Abby gets worse as time goes by.  Her new horse has been injured adding to her father's long list of complaints.  How much more can she endure? Thanks to an Amish-man, Mose Fisher coming to her aide she would not have been able to manage. Since walking out on the horse farm and her father she suspects he is sick and worries he will not have anyone to care for him.  She struggles with why she should care after the way he had treated her?  She prays to God for Him to guide her.   What a contrast this must have been for Abby going from feeling unloved and unappreciated to being overwhelmed with the love and protection of the Amish.  Might she be able to build a new life among the Amish and possibly with Mose Fisher? Book three in the Touch of  Grace series is a beautiful love story.  The author created the character of Abby as being as broken in heart and soul as the new horse Abby cared for so dearly.  Then she creates the character of Mose as no doubt being sent by God to rescue Abby, bringing her closer to God and the Amish community where she was meant to be. This story has suspense, danger, romance, trials, tribulation and reconciliation. I can't wait to read more from this author.  What a loving and tender heart this author Beth Shriver must have, she is a blessing to her readers. I highly recommend this book. Disclosure:  I received a free copy of this book from Booketeria/Realms for review.  I was in no way compensated for this review.  This is review is my honest opinion.

Life has not been very nice to Abby Barker, her Mom has died, and the abuse her Dad used to afflict on her, has now been transferred to Abby. Abby goes behind Jim's back, she can't bare to call him Dad, and buys a horse with money her Mom left her. When travel with Jim and the horse trailer, their is an accident and Ginger, the horse, is injured. So begins her chance encounter with Amishman, Mose Fisher. This encounter leads Abby to take sanctuary with the Amish. She likes what she sees with way of life in the Amish Community. She doesn't like that it is a man's world...coming from an English world. She loves the busyness, and the being there for one another. Enjoy absorbing yourself in the confines of the Amish Society. Will Mose, who is attracted to Abby, leave his heritage? Will things get better with Abby's embittered Dad? Will Ginger be able to fulfill the destiny that Abby hopes for? These and other questions will be answered, and you are going to love this book! Enjoy! I received this book through First Wild Card Book Tours, and was not required to give a positive review.
