    Great Guidance

I have all the oils that go with this book so it was very helpful and informative for not only using biblical oils in my daily routine. But also gave great history of each oil and how they were used during biblical times, why they were in the bible readings.

    Excellent! A Must Have Resource.

Dr. Stewart has shone a bright light on information contained in the Bible, and brought new understanding of Biblical accounts of the use of essential oils for ceremonial purposes, healing, and disease prevention. His ability to bring together knowledge from many disparate sources in a cohesive form that is easily accessible and understandable by anyone, regardless of their religious or educational background, makes this book a VALUABLE RESOURCE. His research included the Bible and associated documents, Jewish texts, and disparate historical accounts that suggest strong support exists in the historical record for his thesis that essential oils were distilled, were available, were used, and that their healing benefits were well known during Biblical times. A must have resource for anyone serious about understanding the healing potential and history of the use of essential oils.

Anointing Healing Oils have indeed existed before the time of Christ

Dr. David Stewart Ph.D., has gone to great lengths, to explain the history and chemistry of the oils in this wonderful book. It is well known, despite what some may believe that Essential Oils have existed for thousands of years. Essential Oils are INDEED the Missing Link for good health.

    only for the unwitting

The basic premise of this book is that we should buy essential oils because they're in the Bible. The only trouble is that the aromatic oils mentioned in the Bible were not essential oils: Essential oils are made by distillation; distillation didn't exist in Biblical times; and the process of infusion (which *was* in use in Biblical times) yields oils with very different properties than the process of distillation. In short, if you're looking for authentic information about Biblical aromatics and/or health care, this book is not what you want; in fact it's just plain misleading.
