Meet the Author

Rev. Dr. Mary Johnson, D. Min., writes with depth, wisdom, and healing impact from 30 years of professional experience as a state licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC), nationally certified pastoral counselor (AAPC), nationally certified counselor (NCC) and ordained minister. Dr. Johnson has served as Executive Director, for many years, of Good News Counseling Center in NH and has extensive experience in Clinical Supervision, DSM Diagnosis, Treatment Planning, & Psychotherapy. She has served on the Adjunct Faculties of Antioch New England Graduate School, Goddard College, Gordon Conwell, Keene State, UNH, etc. and is experienced as an approved college supervisor for graduate level counseling interns in Clinical Psychology & Marriage & Family Counseling.
Rev. Johnson has pastored in Methodist, Congregational, Assembly Of God, and Independent churches. She also brings an extensive background in understanding the depths of illness, healing, and recovery from work in hospital chaplaincy at Holy Family Hospital and Tewksbury State in Mass.
Dr. Johnson has been listed in "Who's Who In Religion" and "Who's Who In Human Services" and is the author of numerous professional articles and poetry. She has been published in both the "Keene Sentinel" and the AAPC Journal: "Journeys" . Her first book: "Visions Of Hope: Voices Of Americana" has recieved excellent reviews.
Dr. Johnson has a D.Min in Clinical Psychology from Andover Newton in Newton, Mass., a ThM from Boston University School Of Theology, and a BS in History & Psychology from Black Hills State University in South Dakota.
Dr. Johnson is also a skilled graphic artist and illustrator with extensive training in commercial art and beautifully illustrates her own books, giving a depth and richness to her profound writing. She has attended the Kansas City Art Institute and has been listed as a member of the "National Art Honor Society".
